Last February 10, 2018, around 500 guests attended Kawasaki Motors (Phils.) Corporation ‘s 2018 Dealers Convention, gracing the City of Dreams with their elegant attire. Titled as “The Power of 4,” the event guest list was comprised of representatives from Kawasaki Heavy Industry Japan and Bajaj Auto Limited from India, as well as esteemed members of the media, who came to witness the launch of Kawasaki’s newest and most-anticipated models: The DOMINAR 400 and the Ninja 400! Both powerhouse releases, these two new machines offer riders the freedom to enter expressways and push their boundaries to the limit!
With its 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, digital triple spark ignition engine, the DOMINAR 400 is Kawasaki Philippines’ first Bajaj model equipped with an anti-lock braking system. It’s a high-powered sports touring machine, born to sprint and built to tour, that will allow riders to have an exhilarating adventure, strengthened by the air of power and freedom emitted by their ride! The launch of the DOMINAR 400 is also an affirmation to the strengthening alliance between Kawasaki Motors Philippines and Bajaj Motor Unlimited, proving that the two motorcycle giants, together, are a true force to be reckoned with.
Alongside the DOMINAR 400, another motorcycle also made its public debut — The Ninja 400. Hailing from the top class Ninja line-up, the Ninja 400 is imbued with Kawasaki’s winning racing technology! With a 4-stroke, 8-valve, parallel twin engine, the Ninja 400 offers an incredible balance of superb performance and high controllability, offering excitement and ease to those who ride it, be them new or experienced. The Ninja 400 lives up to the legacy of its name, keeping true to its street-born and track inspired reputation!
In addition to these two new models, guests were also delighted with the display of the new generation Rouser models! This included the all-new Rouser NS160, the re-energized Rouser 200NS, and the sporty Rouser RS200. Making their way into the public eye as well, other Kawasaki models were revealed, such as the classy W175 and 250, and the ever iconic Z900RS!
One of the biggest surprises for the evening, however, was the presence of Kawasaki’s three-time world superbike champion, Jonathan Rea, and the country’s action superstar, Robin Padilla, who joined the executives from both Kawasaki and Bajaj in a toast to showcase the unity between the two motorcycle brands! Truly a sight to exemplify the “Power of 4!”
